Farhad Heydari is the longtime International Executive Editor at CENTURION and DEPARTURES Magazines Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Prior to joining the AmEx publications in London and Munich, he reported on travel, lifestyle, motoring, golf, gastronomy, architecture and design for TIME International, Travel + Leisure, T&L Golf, Wallpaper*, New York, Architectural Record, Town and Country, Forbes, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Black Ink, Condé Nast Traveller UK and the travel pages of the New York Times and South China Morning Post, to name just a few.
Today, he contributes to a handful of titles, including some of the aforementioned, but also Robb Report, Harper's Bazzar UK, Ralph Lauren and magazines produced by Condé Nast Contract Publishing. An expert on luxury lifestyle, Heydari also provides consultancy to the hospitality sector and travel industries and appears, from time to time, in print, on television and on radio as a commentator.
An avid golfer, petrol head, aviation buff and outdoor enthusiast, Heydari was born to Persian parents and has lived in the Middle East, Europe and America. A multilingual, he is a member of the Overseas Press Club of America, the British Society of Magazine Editors, the Association of American Correspondents in London, the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association and the Deutscher Presse Verband e.V.
